The Copyright department is responsible for managing and updating the ‘brain‘ of BMG: the global database of the rights we manage. The team logs data on who owns what, as well as the terms of deals in our database, and circulates that information to international collecting societies and other external partners such as digital services.

Your Mission

As part of the Data Services team, you will be responsible for delivering high quality data to ensure that the correct payments are being delivered to our songwriters and composers.“

Your Responsibilities

• Preparing song data for worldwide registration at collecting societies.Analysing large amounts of data and troubleshooting when handling different data formats and interfaces.
• Processing of large amounts of data, including the use of reporting tools.
• Working in our internal databases and being actively involved in the development of our databases and workflows.
• Communicating with our copyright colleagues at the BMG local offices around the world.
• Researching, identifying and rectifying registration issues at collection societies.

• You have a good knowledge of working with data, data analysis or similar fields.
• You might have knowledge of working with SQL, JQL, Python or similar (but not a requirement).
• You are experienced in dealing with MS-Office programs, especially Excel.
• You possess technical affinity, have good numerical reasoning and a proven track record for excellent attention to detail.
• Fluent English language skills complete your profile.
